I am sooooooo excited about this project. I love it. It's practically fail safe...which is awesome.
This is my "end of the year" project for the "beginning of next year"...it just makes sense to have a small project everyone can work on that you can display for the upcoming year. I've done Monochromatic Owls in the past that were adorable...but this year, I started noticing how amazing Where's Waldo books are...for the millionth time. And I left this plan for a sub a couple of weeks before school was out and was so impressed with the results that I decided to keep it going and make it a big mural collage!
Here's the poster I made for the sub...let me say this is an experienced sub that our school loves and uses all the time...so I would not leave this if you plan on using it a sub plan with just "anybody". :)
I planted the "Real Waldo" after all the kids left for summer break. He's not pictured here so you can relax a little.
Here's a great link to coloring page and some Waldo facts...perfect for early finishers or subs to use for extra time activities.

I was inspired by the "Land of the Waldos" page in "The Fantastic Journey" Waldo book.
