2nd Grade: Morris Louis"Drips"

Well, I decided to do this at the last minute today because I keep  getting bored! Anyway, we looked at the Color Field painter, Louis Morris. We talked about abstract art in our idea books and began the drips!

Our plan is to use these drips as flower stems and centers...we'll add a collage vase and petals next week!

  1. Your projects are wonderful! As a former art teacher, I had several projects designed to introduce modern art. The name of the Color School artist you use for inspiration is Morris Lewis....I love his work.

  2. An outstanding share! I've just forwarded this onto a colleague who has been doing a little homework on this. And he actually bought me breakfast simply because I found it for him... lol. So let me reword this.... Thanks for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending the time to talk about this issue here on your site.
