I used this project with my 4th graders...it's for our upcoming art show theme of Art From Around the World.
Jim Dine Pop Art Hearts
I do this project with 1st grade every year right around Valentine's Day. I had a couple of classes use liquid watercolors to paint over oil pastel drawings. But, this year we have some particular difficult 1st graders, so I simplified this for some other classes to oil pastel only. They turned out very vibrant and lovely!
