Monochromatic Portraits

These mini portraits are being created by 3rd and 4th graders.

Eventually I plan on installed these in big rainbow hallway display.

Cezanne Inspired Still-Life

We talked about still-life drawing and created a quick still-life in our idea books. Then we looked at a still-life with apples as a class to draw from.

We also talk about warm and cool colors and how to use them to show contrast in our paintings.

Teacher Portraits

Each 4th grader painted a portrait of either their classroom teacher or the principal. These are a big hit!

Kinder Self-portraits

We did these little "free draw" activities when we finished painting our Royal Self-Portraits.
